Exterior of the car

This car started out as a standard 1.2 Merit, on 13" steel rims, running 135 profile tyres

When I got it it spent a while in the garage doing nothing (seizing up !!)

As I drove about 100 miles each day it was important to have a car that was practical. this meant no ground scraping splitters, or -60 suspension, or 35 profile tyres - I didnt want the car to be an endurance!

The first thing I did was bought a Novadose kit for £315. (bought direct for fibresports from and advertisement in Max Power)
I paid a further £400 to have the front rusty wing replaced, doors de-locked and painted.

At this stage the car did not have the wing mirrors, petrol cap and tailgate plastic painted
The grill was copied from the fibresports one, but it was in fact painstakingly handcrafted by myself

I bought some paint and primer, and spent an entire evening painting the lot. Worth it in the end

I bought a set of 15" alloys, but they were the wrong offset (ET42) and fouled the arched like mad.
So I paid a little extra for a new set of Integrals, ET49, worth every penny (about £450 including 195/50/15 tyres)

There is also a set of -35mm PI springs in there

I then bought a £200 scrap nova 1.3 SR from which I transplanted the glass, so now we have tinted glass all round - much better with the natural tint than some blacked out cars, at least I could still see out.

Once I had the exterior sorted it was time to go inside
