The scratch coat has been completed upstairs today, and most of the hall is also done. There has been no more progress outside, there hasn't really been a good enough day.

Progress has been quicker than I originally thought, and the plasterers have completed the scratch coat today. They will be ready to start the upstairs ceilings tomorrow, and the walls early next week.

The plasterers came today, after a non-appearance yesterday to set up scaffolding inside allowing them to reach the ceiling.

The contractor was demolishing a house in Articlave yesterday and it was all brought to firm up the filling in the back yard. [more]

We have finally had some more dry weather, the plasterers started outside again today, and got one gable done and completed the front wall too. [more]

Another week of plastering passed, and the plaster bands are done round all the windows at the back of the house. [more]

The good weather is continuing, and so is the plaster work. The plaster bands have now been completed on the porch, so it's really starting to take shape! [more]

We're back from a few days in Scotland, and the plasterers have been working hard while we were away. All the decorative plaster work outside is now completed, the coins on the corners, and the keystones above the arches. The back and two outshots have been dashed now, so another couple of days should finish the work outside. All that remains is to dash the two gables, and the front. I haven't got a chance to take pictures, usual daylight problem :(

We have had a couple of inches of snow today! The plasterers are working away inside, some of the downstairs work is started and most upstairs is completed. [snow!]

The plasterers have plastered the ceiling and almost all the walls of the landing, and the slingsby stairs have been installed too. Another part of a day will finish the work upstairs, so all that remains is downstairs. [more]
