Work has stopped on the kitchen, the screws for the door handles have not arrived! The fitter will be back sometime next week to finish off.

The chrome radiator arrived from screwfix yesterday, so I took it to the plumber today for measurements.

The stove for the living room also arrived today.

The electrician also marked all the walls where there are conduits inside, so that when the joiners come to place the skirting, they don't hit them.

The radiators and pipes have arrived for the heating.

Saturday morning, and the plasterers are back, the ceilings of all the downstairs rooms are now done.

The plasterers have plastered the ceiling and almost all the walls of the landing, and the slingsby stairs have been installed too. Another part of a day will finish the work upstairs, so all that remains is downstairs.

With the plasterers working outside all week there has been minimal progress inside. They have however got most of the remaining window cills ready.

The plasterers skimmed the ceilings of the bedrooms and the bathroom today.

Another week inside has been completed, and the plasterers are ready to start on the ceilings on Monday, if the weather is bad. If the weather is good the plasterers will work to get the outside completed, as the contractor needs the scaffolding elsewhere.

The electrician came today to cut holes in the plasterboard for the lights in the kitchen and conservatory, to ensure that the cables were hidden where we expect them. All were marked carefully, and the cables were there, phew!

The joiners were here Monday and Tuesday battening the ceilings downstairs. This means the electrical work can now be completed downstairs.

The external doors were sealed below with a lintil.

The electrician has been here Wednesday and Thursday night, working at completing the first fix downstairs. I have also been installing cabling for an alarm system too.

Just some pictures of inside, now that the roof is felted.

The electrician came over on Thursday 18th December, and it took around 3 hours for us to mark out all the electrical points. Lightswitches, powerpoints and tv etc all had to be marked. Then on Monday 22nd a man came to do the tracking. He worked all day monday, and Wednesday, then came back again on Monday 29th.

The electrician has been back several times over the holiday period fitting boxes, and conduit - now most of that work is complete. He will return once the roof is on to start wiring the upstairs. Downstairs needs to be battened before he can go any further there.
